While many people know about the grand entryways of Sololaki, the courtyards and houses of Chugureti remain a mystery to most. We will open this hidden world for you, full of history, architectural masterpieces, and atmospheric corners of old Tbilisi.
We will stroll through grand entryways featuring unique murals, forged staircases, and stucco work, and conclude by visiting the legendary "Apollo" cinema—one of the oldest in the world.
Our route will pass through the streets and courtyards of the former German colony. Imperceptibly, we will be transported into the atmosphere of 19th-century Tiflis—with its cozy estates, luxurious mansions, soulful courtyards, and tenement houses.
You will visit five grand entryways that are practically impossible for ordinary tourists to enter. Original wall paintings await you—restored in some places, nearly lost in others. Marble, spiral staircases, stained glass, and stucco will tell the story of Tbilisi's luxurious past.
