Author Tours to Georgia and Azerbaijan in 2026

This year promises to be incredibly eventful. We will head to the most impressive regions of the Caucasus: ascend to mountainous Khevsureti, explore Svaneti and Tusheti, see Georgia's most beautiful lakes, discover Racha and Imereti, participate in the Rtveli grape harvest festival, and uncover Azerbaijan during our signature tour.
The FAHU Travel team has been organizing signature tours across the Caucasus for over 8 years. Our journeys are more than just excursions; they are a deep immersion into the nature, culture, and life of the region. We show you places that are impossible to reach on your own and create itineraries that stay with you for a lifetime.
Below is the schedule for 2026 signature tours (duration: 3 to 6 days).

Discover Azerbaijan — The Land of Fire

Dates: May 6–10
Cost: $900 per person

Since ancient times, Azerbaijan has been called the "Land of Fire." Here, natural gas surfaces and burns directly from the ground. But a signature tour to Azerbaijan is not only about natural wonders, but also about culture, architecture, and gastronomy.

We will begin by exploring Baku — the stylish capital on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Here, the medieval walls of the Old City sit alongside futuristic buildings, and cozy streets lead to modern cultural centers created by the world's best architects.

Then we will head to the mountain regions of the Caucasus — to the ancient towns of Sheki and Lahic, where time seems to have stood still. We will walk through stone streets, meet local masters, taste national cuisine, visit private wineries, and learn about traditions that are passed down from generation to generation.

A separate part of the journey will be getting to know the country's natural wonders: mud volcanoes, ancient rock carvings of Gobustan, and the famous eternal fires that gave Azerbaijan its poetic name.

Of course, an important part of the journey will be the cuisine. Azerbaijan is a true gastronomic paradise. Traditional restaurants, local delicacies, wine, and dinners in atmospheric places await us.

This journey is designed specifically for a small group and proceeds at a calm, comfortable pace.

Khevsureti — Georgia’s Most Mysterious Region

Dates: June 19–21
Cost: $500 per person

A place of high mountains, mountain rivers, winding roads, countless flocks of sheep, and traditional houses and towers.

A balanced program: mountain hiking, the region's key locations, museums, and local cuisine.

Khevsureti is one of the most inaccessible and sparsely populated regions of mountainous Georgia. Here, you will find dozens of gorges, rugged passes, ancient settlements, and the feeling of being at the edge of the world.

The name of the region comes from the Georgian word "Khevi," meaning "gorge." This is an unusual and beautiful name for the area, matching its nature of incredible beauty. It’s a place where you'll want to try dishes in the "dining halls" and enjoy the delicious local cuisine.

The Pristine Nature of Tusheti

Dates: July 15–19
Cost: $900 per person

If you crave an unconventional journey, want to visit a place without crowds of tourists, and practically become a pioneer, then Tusheti is exactly THE place in Georgia.

This high-mountain region is not easy to reach; it requires a professional guide who knows the terrain and traditions. We have prepared and are happy to offer you an unforgettable journey.

A unique corner of Georgia that preserves the remnants of ancient culture. This is the very region featured in the beloved film "Mimino," where the main character arrived by helicopter because there was no other way to get there. Now, from July to September, there is a unique opportunity to visit this incredible place and enjoy the stunning nature and picturesque mountain road.

Our signature tour is for determined travelers, for those who seek complete unity with nature. Here, nothing prevents you from enjoying the beauty of the mountains and tranquility, the delicious homemade cuisine of the highlanders: khinkali with hand-chopped meat, cheese made from mountain cow milk, pies filled with rare plants, and forgetting what the internet and phones are.

Journey Through Western Georgia: Imereti and Racha Regions

Dates: August 5–9
Cost: $900 per person

This journey will take you through two distinctive regions of Western Georgia — Imereti and Racha.

You will visit the regional capitals: the ancient city of Kutaisi with its rich history and Ambrolauri, which is surrounded by nature and vineyards. Along the way, canyons, waterfalls, caves, nature reserves, and unforgettable panoramic views await you.

We will stay in cozy family guesthouses, dine on homemade Georgian cuisine, explore the local wine culture, and meet the people who preserve the traditions of these regions.

An eventful, beautiful, and vibrant journey — an opportunity to see another side of Georgia and feel it more deeply.

Tobavarchkhili and Lakumurash: Gems of Georgia

Dates: August 18–23
Cost: $800 per person

Spend unforgettable days at the most beautiful lakes in Georgia! Tobavarchkhili and Lakumurash are high-mountain lakes surrounded by rugged trails and untouched landscapes. They will be a true challenge, but the reward for your efforts will be breathtaking views and the chance to watch the colors of the lakes change before your eyes.

Our route passes through the most scenic points. You will be accompanied by an experienced team of guides who know every path, off-road vehicles to overcome difficult sections, high-quality equipment, and reliable horses to carry the cargo.

These lakes will reveal a completely different Georgia to you, and the journey will become a source of vivid and unforgettable impressions.

Discover Svaneti: A Land Where Nature Is Stronger Than Words

Dates: September 9–13
Cost: $900 per person

Svaneti is the heart of the Caucasus: mountains higher than the clouds, towers older than legends. Here, roads turn into adventures, the air smells of pine and snow, and people live by the laws of an ancient mountain land. This is the place where the real Georgia is visible — pristine, proud, and poetic: sunsets over Ushguli look like movie frames, and mornings in Mestia wake the desire to breathe deeply. If you want to feel the country not from the outside, but from within — the path leads here.

We invite you on a signature journey from the FAHU Travel team — we will show you Svaneti as the locals and those in love with it know it. For us, this is not just a point on the map, but a part of life — and perhaps, for you, this trip will become your most powerful story about Georgia.

Rtveli Festival in Georgia

Dates: September 25–27
Cost: $600 per person

We invite you on an atmospheric autumn journey through Georgia, timed to the country's main wine holiday — Rtveli. This is a unique opportunity not just to visit the sights, but to become a participant in an ancient tradition: harvesting grapes, crushing them with your feet, tasting young wine from kvevri, and feasting with local winemakers.

The tour covers several regions at once: picturesque Kakheti with its wineries and monasteries, mountainous Kazbegi with its majestic landscapes, and, of course, ancient Tbilisi with its grand entryways, cozy courtyards, and legends. You can expect: tastings, authentic feasts, excursions to iconic sites, rich itineraries, meetings with genuine people, and a memorable holiday atmosphere.

We recruit small groups, carefully plan every route, and care about the comfort of our participants. These regions require experience in travel organization, and we know how to make your journey both unforgettable and safe.
